Design brief
The project involves designing a modern, moody ensuite for a couple seeking dark tones and a clean vibe, accented with LED lighting.
Goals:
- Create a sleek, modern ensuite with a moody atmosphere
- Ensure a clean and uncluttered design
- Integrate accent LED lighting to highlight key features and create ambient lighting options
Design statement
The modern, moody aesthetic was achieved using dark tones, matte finishes, and clean lines.
Accent LED lighting was strategically placed for both functionality and ambiance, with dimmable options to adjust the mood.
The functional layout included a walk-in shower, floating vanity, and integrated storage, ensuring both practicality and visual appeal.
Challenges addressed
To address lighting in a dark space, accent LED lighting and lighter contrasting elements were carefully placed.
A clean look was maintained with seamless, integrated storage solutions while consistency in materials and design elements ensured cohesion with the overall home style.
Involvement
I was involved from the initial concept to the final completion.
As the lead designer, I was responsible for developing the design concept, selecting materials, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring that the homeowner’s’s requirements and design standards were met.
I worked closely with the owners from the beginning and oversaw the project through to installation.
