Anchored within a renovated coastal home on the industrial fringe of Port Kembla, this main bathroom offers a moment of considered luxury – crafted for slow living and daily ritual.
The design centres around a sculptural stone bath in a rich butterscotch tone, selected for its warmth and organic tactility.
Positioned beneath a soft overhead skylight, its grounding presence sets the palette for the space, tying in with the soft gloss of the feature wall tiles.
These reflective surfaces bounce natural light across the room, creating an ever-shifting interplay of texture and tone.
At the heart of the vanity sits a custom concrete basin – handcrafted to echo the softness of the bath’s form while introducing a refined, architectural edge.
Fluted detailing on the vanity brings subtle rhythm and shadow play, offering contrast against the smoothness of the tiled surfaces.
The layout prioritises spatial clarity and material emphasis, with clean sightlines and generous proportions that amplify the experience of each finish.
Brass tapware and fittings were selected in a brushed finish, offering a hint of patina and tying into the project’s broader language of quiet, curated luxury.
