From the bathroom designer:

Our design objective was to transform an existing, dark, and dated ensuite into a vibrant space connected to the teenage boy’s bedroom, while addressing the recurring issues of mould and dampness.

The initial challenge was the placement of the shower against the window, which caused poor ventilation and resulted in mould problems.

To rectify this, we made the strategic decision to relocate the shower to an area that would allow for better airflow and prevent future issues with mould near the window.

Various shades of blue tiles were chosen to create a calming and visually cohesive environment.
Designer: To create a visually appealing and calming environment, we incorporated a palette of beautiful blue hues in the selection of tiles.

These colours were carefully chosen to create a sense of tranquillity and serenity, transforming the ensuite into a space that promotes relaxation and well-being.

In addition to aesthetic considerations, we also prioritised functionality and storage.

Understanding the owner’s need for better organisation and usage, we implemented smart storage solutions within the vanity and the round mirror cabinet.

A built-in low wall in the shower offers convenient storage for toiletries and accessories.
The designer created a low wall in the shower to allow for shampoo and accessories to be in easy reach.

We also created a low wall in the shower to allow for shampoo and accessories to be neatly stored within reach of hand.

This ensures that the space looks visually pleasing and serves its purpose efficiently – providing ample storage for the teenage boy’s belongings.

Our design solution successfully addresses the owner’s brief by creating a vibrant ensuite that connects to the adjacent bedroom.

By repositioning the shower for improved ventilation, utilising calming blue hues, and incorporating thoughtful storage solutions, we have transformed the ensuite into a functional and aesthetically pleasing space that enhances the overall experience for the teenage boy.
