Designed by: Elliot James Interiors
From the interior designer:
For this private residential renovation Elliot James Interiors was tasked with taking the unit back to brick, and reconfiguring a four bedroom apartment and adapting it to a two bedded space with a master suite, including a generous bathroom and grand walk-in wardrobe.
The apartment overlooks the spectacular CBD and marina views of Singapore including the iconic Marina Bay Sands – during the design process it was important to ensure the entire focus of every room was based around absorbing this incredible vista.
Due to space being such a premium in the apartment, it was important to ensure that every corner and crevice was used to the maximum and considered.
An awkwardly placed and under utilised bay window was repurposed to create the whiskey nook a stunning double doored floor to ceiling bar area with sandal leather upholstered walls, brass framework and hand painted DeGournay wallpaper.
The kitchen was designed to have the ability to open and close sliding panels, to conceal the working kitchen behind a wall of brass and fluted glass.
The bathroom consists of a bespoke double sink unit and free standing bath made from powdered marble by Claybrook and finished with matt brass fixtures by Samuel Heath.
Even the most extravagant jewels would fight for attention in this lush dressing room. Features include a rare Alpaca fur carpet. The grand master bedroom showcases a floating bed enclosed by white linen sheers and overlooking some of Singapore’s oldest and most impressive landmarks.
Off the bedroom lies a truly stunning and decadent walk-in wardrobe, finished with mirror, brass and a rare Alpaca fur carpet.
Elliot James Interiors also worked with Swarovski to create a truly bespoke lighting installation that was inspired by the owner’s love of rainfall and placed at the end of a hallway in front of a smoked gold mirror.
Elliot James Interiors used the most luxurious of materials from brass, marble, crystal and velvets to create a home that is truly refined, elegant, calm and incredibly opulent at the same time.
