From the landscape architect:

This landscape project involved the design of a new garden at Cosham House, located in Brighton, Victoria.

Careful consideration was given to address contemporary aspects of the architecture, paired together with a fresh landscape design approach to provide a modern residential aesthetic and garden design suited to outdoor entertaining and family living.

View of the north-facing rear garden with seamless connection between indoor living and the outdoor terrace.
A key factor in the design of the contemporary north-facing rear garden was to create a fluid transition from indoor to outdoor living spaces.

A key factor in the design of the contemporary north-facing rear garden was to create a fluid transition from indoor to outdoor living spaces.

This was achieved with the continuation of architectural details, creating a new outdoor dining entertaining terrace, clad in timber, that echoed the composition of the poolside zone opposite.

Planting for the garden was selected to complement the Bayside location utilising a palette of soft, grey-green foliage in a refreshed modern arrangement, i.e Bay, Crepe Myrtle, Japanese Maple, Tractor Seat Plant, Sage, Statice , Zoysia and Native Violet.

Stylishly landscaped garden path with clean lines and textured greenery.
– Fresh and contemporary –

The front entry was upgraded with a fresh look, capturing the essence of this sleek contemporary home.

Landscape features include sculptural shallow bowls floating in a pebble moat, planted with Japanese Zoysia Zen grass, set in front of a backdrop of mature olive trees.

The original corten sculpture has been retained.
