From the designer:
This home, a brand new build in Las Vegas, included 74m² devoted to the kitchen, service kitchen and pantry area.
The luxurious and functional space was designed to reflect old Vegas glamour while serving modern needs.
The kitchen serves as a focal point within the home’s H-shaped layout.
Objectives included fostering culinary creativity, ensuring seamless indoor-outdoor transitions, providing a space for grand social gatherings and intimate family moments, and creating an aesthetic that blends classical and modern influences.
Chenin and the design team used portals inspired by the owners’ Hudson River School art collection to frame each space.
The area also incorporates large windows and landscape features to maximise natural light and blur the lines between indoor and outdoor living.
Central to the vision of a culinary sanctuary is the BlueStar 1.5m dual-fuel range, which acts as a functional centrepiece without overwhelming the space.
Above the range sits a massive rangehood wrapped in brass for an opulent touch, which includes a Pro Hood Liner from Wolf.
White cabinetry and two-toned hardware, custom designed by Chenin, flanks the range area, which also includes a splashback of White Onyx from Solstice Stone.
A panelled refrigerator from BlueStar also features on this wall.
On the opposite wall, custom cabinets in a dark tone coordinate with the shades on the soffit in the dining room and the kitchen island.
The island also includes the Ideal Workstation sink from The Galley, paired with a Brizo Litze faucet, and topped with Black Granite natural stone from Solstice Stone.
Also incorporated within the kitchen, service kitchen and pantry area are a Miele PureLine Oven and Microwave Oven, Miele Professional Dishwasher and Sub-Zero Undercounter Refrigerator.
