From the designers:
This kitchen transformation by Studio Minosa pushes the boundaries of kitchen design.
With its opulent materials, hidden features, and seamlessly integrated cutting-edge technology, it redefines the concept of refined living.
Design brief
Our homeowners set a clear challenge – transform the apartment’s living space to effortlessly harmonise with its architectural surroundings.
‘Create a kitchen that feels as though it has always been an integral part of the space – a bespoke piece of joinery that exudes a sense of freedom and sophistication.’
We embraced the opportunity to design a space that would captivate the senses, elevate entertaining to new heights, and set a new standard in kitchen excellence.
Design concept
Drawing inspiration from the owners’ desire for a kitchen that resembles a bespoke piece of furniture, we embarked on a creative journey that pushed the boundaries of design.
Infused with excitement and flair, the reinvented kitchen seamlessly blends luxurious elements with cutting-edge materials.
Exotic materials like liquid metal for the kitchen doors, quartzite stone, Corian solid surface, warm timber veneers, and bronze metal all feature.
Materials and finishes
We wanted to elevate the kitchen, taking inspiration from the incredible architecture – with this in mind, we integrated the materials of the exterior into the home’s interior.
The gleaming liquid metal surfaces reflect light in mesmerising ways, while the quartzite stone countertops exude a timeless allure.
Corian and warm timber veneers infuse the space with warmth and organic beauty, creating a sensory experience.
The subtle sheen of bronze metal accents adds a touch of glamour, complementing the textured off-form concrete walls.
Each material has been selected to leave a lasting impression.
Functional layout and hidden features
We planned the layout to optimise functionality and efficiency.
While adhering to the owners’ desire for hidden appliances, we seamlessly integrated them within the cabinetry, creating an environment that appears more like a curated piece of art than a traditional kitchen.
The result is a sleek and cohesive aesthetic that effectively blends the kitchen with the living spaces.
Every detail, from the organisation of the active and passive areas of the kitchen zones to storage solutions, has been carefully considered to ensure a space that is both visually arresting and practical.
