This kitchen design process involved careful planning and thoughtful modifications to enhance both functionality and aesthetics.
Initially, the original plan featured a closed-off pantry with a cavity slider.
However, this element was later removed to create a more open and spacious feel within the kitchen.
This decision improved accessibility, creating a feeling of spaciousness and contributing to a seamless flow throughout the space – aligning with the homeowner’s vision for a modern and cohesive design.
One significant upgrade in the materials used was the selection of Primestone Olympia for the stone benchtop, replacing the initial choice.
To maintain visual harmony and a luxurious appeal, the same stone was extended to the splashback, creating a seamless, refined finish.
Given that the benchtop and splashback served as the focal points of the kitchen, the remaining colour selections were curated to complement these elements.
The cabinetry finishes are in Melteca Legno Naturale and Warm White Natural, ensuring a sophisticated balance of warmth and modernity.
Plus, including Melteca Legno Naturale end panels to the fridge and oven tower cabinetry provides additional visual interest.
These cabinetry and benchtop tones were also selected to work harmoniously with other design elements in the space, particularly the Woodland Lifestyle laminate flooring in Modern White Oak.
This flooring choice introduced a natural timber aesthetic, adding warmth while maintaining the contemporary look.
The owners also wanted the joinery design elements and colour selections to flow through into the adjacent study nook area, creating further cohesiveness with connecting areas of the home.
Additionally, the selection of copper-coloured curtains in the adjacent living space played a crucial role in tying the entire design together.
Their warm metallic tones provided a subtle contrast to the neutral cabinetry and stone finishes, enhancing the overall aesthetic with a refined yet inviting ambiance.
Throughout the process, the owners were deeply involved in selecting finishes and colours, ensuring that each element contributed to a cohesive and timeless design.
The result is a kitchen that is both functional and stylish, seamlessly integrating modern finishes with warm, natural textures.
