Brief

This project started with a kitchen/scullery renovation which then extended throughout the house to the childrens’ bathroom, laundry, powder room and master ensuite – with full interior painting, exterior re-staining, new timber flooring and lighting throughout.

Our key design features were embodied into each room and seamlessly flow throughout.

Kitchen

Our aim was to create a warm, welcoming home catering to a busy family of five and the frequent visitors to their stunning rural setting.

The kitchen redesign and reorientation requirements included a highly functional, flowing space from kitchen, scullery and workstation through to the outdoor dining, entertainment, pool and landscaped spaces (stage 2).

The redesigned kitchen layout, with completely changed orientation, helped to improve the flow of the open living space – connecting effortlessly into the scullery and indoor/outdoor dining areas.

There had been too much light going into the existing scullery via a floor to ceiling large window where we have the tall pantry now.

We closed in this area and utilised it for floor to ceiling cupboards, making for a highly functional extension to the main kitchen – we also added a broom cupboard.

We replaced the large, floor-mounted window in the new kitchen with a smaller window to add privacy and allow us to re-orientate the kitchen benchtop and wall units along this walladding a very workable and practical area.

This was designed to incorporate some exterior cladding detail, creating the appearance that it was all designed to co-ordinate seamlessly.

Strategically chosen heights between the kitchen and scullery define each distinct area – accentuated by the tall oven units, natural oak wall cabinetry, and fully integrated fridge/freezers.

The spacious kitchen offers ample storage, enhancing everyday efficiency.

The scullery features an oversized sink, oak-stained rope oven, steam oven towers, generous pantry space, and an additional cylinder and broom cupboard.

The island serves as a welcoming gathering spot, linking the dining room, living room, and outdoor barbecue and pool areas seamlessly.

Laundry

The existing outdated laundry has been modernised to complement the rest of the home.

Our brief here had been to remove the existing toilet that took up ample space and replaced it with ample storage.

Freshly painted and retiled, the space now features elegant bespoke joinery/cupboard storage and a coat area in a white matte lacquer, reflecting a sense of cleanliness and freshness.

Every detail, from the joinery to the brushed nickel pull-out tap, has been crafted and specified to enhance practicality and efficiency.

Bathrooms

The main bathroom, powder room, and master ensuite have all undergone a complete transformation, showcasing bespoke joinery that echoes the design elements of the kitchen.

Each vanity now stretches wall to wall, maximising space and functionality, and offering our homeowners a luxurious experience.

Bespoke mirrors enhance brightness in these rooms, softly highlighting the Porcelanosa wall and floor tiles.

Subtle texture is introduced through the feature tile on the vanity walls and shower recesses.

The combination of textures and tones, bespoke design and utilisation of each space has made an inviting and more functional space for our homeowners.
