Overview
This project outlines the comprehensive transformation of a compact, single use laundry area into a highly functional guest bathroom and integrated laundry space.
The core objective was to deliver a design that seamlessly merges upmarket aesthetics with practical utility – creating a tranquil and efficient environment.
Goals
- Spatial optimisation – convert the current laundry into a complete guest bathroom, including a shower and toilet.
- Integrated appliances & storage – design and install custom cabinetry to discreetly house a steamer, washing machine, and provide practical storage with a pull-out laundry door, ensuring a clutter-free environment.
- Infrastructure relocation – relocate the hot water cylinder to the attic to maximise usable space within the renovated bathroom.
- Elevated aesthetics – implement a high-end material palette, including Infinity Brazil matt tiles for sophistication and bespoke shou sugi ban wood and mesh panels for contrasting warmth and texture.
Key deliverables
- Full guest bathroom functionality (shower, toilet, basin).
- Relocated hot water cylinder.
- Installation of premium Infinity Brazil matt tiles.
- Fabrication and installation of bespoke shou sugi ban wood and mesh panelled laundry cupboard.
- Thoughtful design elements to ensure practical storage and accessibility.
Vision
The completed space will serve as a perfect retreat, embodying a tranquil yet practical atmosphere for guests and homeowners alike.
It will be a testament to thoughtful design, high-quality finishes, and the seamless integration of luxury with everyday utility, establishing it as an ideal sanctuary within the home.
Scope
