From the designer:

Our brief was to design a spacious, light and functional bathroom with all the amenities, including a double vanity and walk-in double shower, together with solid matai timber floors in the main area.

The challenge with this bathroom was organising the positioning of the various items on the owners’ wish list given the narrow width of the space and the different sizes of the three varying format tiles chosen.

We positioned the built-in bath in front of the large window, to bring the outdoors in. In addition, we positioned the bespoke oval floating mirrors and the cantilevered stained oak vanity with corian benchtop along the long wall. These custom pieces were designed by Eterno Design

The custom shower stall has a central glass door entry while the oval wall mirrors were also designed by Eternodesign.

This enhanced the overall sense of space, while also helping to define the room. Plus, the glass door on the shower adds to the overall sense of space.

We had to carefully incorporate the delicate marble tiles into the scheme to create an inviting master ensuite that exuded elegance and harmony with the feel of a spa-like retreat.

The entry into this beautiful space is through the master bedroom and bespoke walk-in robe.

We softened the look of the interior through the careful placement of subtle lighting to shine down the long tiled walk-in shower. And we applied a similar scheme above the bath, with light washing down the tiled walls.

The long custom shower stall includes a soap niche and concealed lighting that accentuates the space.

Our wider aim was to bring a feeling of delicacy and warmth to the ensuite and a continuity throughout the home.

This was achieved by the choice of natural finishes from the rich, matai timber floors and marble wall tiles to the custom-stained American oak double vanity. The soft lighting, textured palette and attention to detail also played a major part.

The glass door on the shower adds to the overall sense of spaciousness along with the bespoke oval mirrors.

The master ensuite has become a spatial sanctuary for the owners to relax and enjoy.
