Owner requests

  • The homeowners wanted this bathroom to match the other bathrooms that were being renovated in the house.
  • They requested his and hers areas in the bathroom.
  • Plus, they wanted something a little bit different, so they were keen on the idea of having a bath in the bedroom as there wasn’t enough space in the ensuite.
The bathroom layout includes distinct his and hers areas for personal convenience and functionality.
The owners wanted his and hers areas in the bathroom.

What we achieved

  • Brown tones were used for the tiles and vanity, creating an earthy theme that connected the bathroom with both the other bathrooms and the forest area outside.
  • A large composite marble stone bath was placed in the bedroom with a chandelier above for a wow factor!
  • His and hers sinks were again used with the copper tapware, which stood out nicely against the brown tiles
Warm copper tapware creates a striking contrast against deep brown tiles.

Issues encountered

  • Access to the property was an issue, and all of the tools and bathroomware had to be transported to the property in smaller vehicles that could fit down the drive.
  • The bath weighed more than 200kg, and so it was a challenge to get it upstairs without causing any damage to the bath or the staff!
